Chimeras

Some chimeras I doodled while watching The Punisher to break in a new nib.
A bald eagle/salmon hybrid. How frustrating would that be, wanting to eat your own butt all the time.
I know this looks like a panda, but it is really a shark/bear hybrid. Thus finally mooting the question which is better, bear or shark.

Goblin in the Kitchen

I'm finished. This 6 by 9 drawing took somewhere between 3 and 6 hours to do, depending on how you look at it. You are more used to drawing while watching a movie. I spent more time watching than drawing. We watched Picasso and Braque Go to the Movies. There was a great bonus feature of a 1910 silent movie of Frankenstein, which I thought was excellent. But a silent movie forces you to watch what's going on, or you'll miss the entire thing. Very fun.

TITLE: Nope, it wasn't me. It must have been a goblin who ate our last piece of cake during the night.

Gobbling goblin

This took a total of 5 hours, I think only about 25 or 30 in pencils.

Better cows.

Shoot - she beat me this week. Well, I couldn't let her beat me in number of cows, so we tied.
An Urkel cow. This was my first idea but actually the second drawing because I thought it was too dumb.
And a cowster - a hipster cow, doncha know. Also, this is a lady coy, so that is an udder in her pants. Sicko.

Cow's heads are cuter than I thought/remembered but their bodies are a little grotesque.

Herd of Two Cows?

Hi Angela,

Here are my cows-of-the-week.

First: The Spotted Cow
Whatever you do, say nothing about the spot on her shoulder.

Second: The Cowfish
I'm not sure what you thought of last week's deer, but this one is just a leetle odder. I was going to have it say "Moo" with the O's as bubbles, but thought I'd rather not.

Curly

I drew a rather weird deer for you. Curly, I guess. Another quick draw. This time I drew it using a pen that says it's from the Embassy Suites Hotels. It works okay, but is a little sticky and dry. It's at least three years old.

Deer, deer, deer

I drew some deer at Drink and Draw yesterday.

This is more deer inspired than an actual deer.
This, too.

Hoot Owl

Okay, I did it. A scratchy pen owl. If the pen doesn't work, it becomes an implement for art. This owl is a three-minute sketch with the scratchy pen. I'm only half a week late. This was drawn while waiting for Jim to deliver ice cream during our intermission from the movie Bright Star. Keats. And outside, an owl just screeched. That's nice. Next, we move on to the cow!

Your Owls

Hi Angela,

Those owls are really great. The face of the first one is spooky, as owls often are. The wings of the second one are beautiful. Nice drawings!

I haven't done my owl yet, as you can see, but even if I did, I don't know if I could put it up until next week. We'll see. I'll try something today, but don't hold your breath.

Barn Owls

I drew some barn owls at Drink and Draw yesterday. They are creepy and awesome. I might do more later.
